"This is not intended to be all that this fellowship believes, nor is it intended to be inspired or contended for. We believe that it encompasses those things that are essential to the operation of a full-gospel ministry. No claims are made that it contains all truth in the Bible, only that it covers our present needs as to these fundamental matters." Pastor Tim Chandler
GOD
We believe in one God who is Himself, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3, 14; Colossians 2:9; Matthew 1:23)
BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21; Hebrews 4:12)
SALVATION
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice at Calvary. We believe that the grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men through the preaching of repentence of sin. We believe that, after being justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we become heirs of the promise of eternal life in Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:47; Romans 3:21-24; Romans 10:13-15; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5-7; Acts 4:12)
We believe the inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:16) The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.
BAPTISM
We believe in the ordinance of baptism by immersion. We believe being buried with Christ and raised as He was, through baptism, should be observed by all who have truly repented and in their hearts have believed on Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe also that this should be accomplished in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:4; Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 10:48; Acts 9:5; Matthew 28:19)
COMMUNION
We believe that the Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements bread and the fruit of the vine, is the external expression of an inward grace, and that it should be celebrated often and by all who would be called disciples of the Lord Jesus. We believe it is a memorial of His suffering and death and a prophesy of His second coming, and is done in remembrance of Him. (Luke 22:19, 20; John 6:48-58; I Corinthians 11:23-29)
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in tongues, prophesy, and other publicly expressed gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ. (Acts 8:16, 17; I Corinthians 12:27-31; I Corinthians 14:1-25)
HEALING
We believe in divine healing. We also believe that, as a disciple of Christ should believe for the healing of the body, he should also believe for the deliverance from oppression of any kind as provided for in the Word of God. (Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:18; James 5:14)
END TIMES
We believe that the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of Israel, and the everlasting reign of Christ when He establishes a new heaven and a new earth is the scriptural promise and the hope of the Church. (II Thessalonians 1:7; Romans 11:25-27; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 21:1)
SECOND COMING
We believe in the blessed hope and glorious appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that the saints, both dead and alive, will be caught up to meet Him. (Matthew 16:27; John 14:3; Acts 1:11; I Corinthians 15:51-57; I Thessalonians 4:16-18, 5:23; Titus 2:13, 14; Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 1:7, 22:20)
HELL
We believe that the devil and his angels and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, which is the second death. (II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15) |
